It hasn’t been that long since 2.7.1 came out, but still, these guys are cookin’ along!
WordPress 2.8 was released late last night, and has a couple new features, bug fixes, and improvements over the previous versions. Most notably its much faster. It just seems ‘snappier’ (hate when people say that about new software).

I’ve consistently been surprised at how much of an advancement WordPress has made in this new – what I think – major update to WordPress in its new upcoming version 2.7.
If you’re not a developer, and aren’t very tech savvy, i wouldn’t suggest upgrading yet, but when the new version is released, I hope that you upgrade to take advantage of all its great new features.
