Ok, well, the last one was a joke…. I wouldn’t download Flo Rida….. Thank god for my Emusic.com subscription. Love being able to download music whenever I want.
SXSW – Birds of Wales – Video Round Up
Monday, March 30th, 2009We had a bit of attention paid to us at SXSW – aside from Mr Matthew McConaughey coming to see our gig, along with Mishka and his crew.. Heres a quick roundup of the video’s you can check out!
Lights – *hearts*
Monday, March 30th, 2009Shameless plug to my friends Lights – She won a Juno last night for Best New Aritist.. Soo good – i’m really looking forward to a full length release from her, as she only as an EP out right now, and a couple really cool, well done videos. The newest for her song Ice.
I’m so excited for them, as its rare these days that GOOD music gets out there – this is good, cute, quirky and just damn cool. Love it.
Bust out your keytar!
Back from SXSW!
Monday, March 23rd, 2009I’ve arrived home from Austin Texas this afternoon – I’m not even going to talk about how I was under the impression that since i’ve been in Texas for the last week living with 24C weather – that everywhere else in the world (including places in Canada) like Toronto, would also be experiencing such temperatures… Seems like I was wrong, and kind of wished I brought a jacket for the ride home.
SXSW was an amazing week for me – I had the chance to catch a ton of amazing shows, and most importantly ones that I was really excited to catch.. Third Eye Blind. I got to see them play twice – once in this really weird studio inside of the conference center that SXSW was based in, and also at a venue in Austin called Stubbs. The studio performance was better, because they played most of their well known hit songs – opposed to the Stubbs performance which was mostly new material that I hadn’t heard (and didn’t really enjoy). Despite that, I was very satisfied, Third Eye Blind is and was one of my favorite bands through the 90′s – it was certainly a treat to see them play.
