Well after a tiring flight from Toronto to London, Morgan and I are pretty beat… Apparently sleeping is an important part of travelling, especially when crossing multiple time zones!

First day in london!

Sunday, August 10th, 2008I’ll be leaving Toronto this evening to England for my 5th trip abroad, once again playing with the band. This tour is very different however, because its just going to be Morgan and I travelling as an acoustic duo act. We’ve got some killer dates opening up for Xaiver Rudd across the UK, and also in Ireland.
This trip will also be different in one other way, that is, I will not be bringing my laptop – crazy I know. Ive just found it to combersome and not that much of a benifit to have while travelling, so i’ve decided to give it a go without taking it along. I will however, have my iphone – its syncing up right now as we speak, with all my music.
I’m going to be trying to keep a daily log on the phone, and uploading the blogs whenever I can, as usual, my internet useage will be very sporadic.

Friday, July 11th, 2008I normally try and keep my personal life and thoughts off of this blog, for obvious reasons, but I felt this needed to be shared, if not just to get it out of my head and into the world – if anything, I’m hoping it will somewhat therapeutic. If you’re not wanting to read my sad commentary, please disregard this post and don’t read past this point.
My friend Kristal P passed away yesterday afternoon. I’m told that her liver was failing, that’s all I really know.
I’ve been quite a mess since I found out, as we were not super close, however, I consider her a relatively large part of my life, even though I had only known her for roughly 3 years. She was 22.
Since I found this out, i’ve been slowly realizing that I am a hugely lucky person. Being able to do the things I do, having my friends, family and everything else around me.
At the same time, i’ve realized that I take a lot of these things for granted, and that I need to start taking these relationships and experiences more seriously, and not for granted as I have in the past, because they can be taken away at any point, like Kristal has been taken away from her family, friends and Me.

Monday, July 7th, 2008I spent some time this weekend recording some of my boutique guitar FX pedals showing their capabilities, etc…. For those of you who dont know, this is a very informative thing for guitar players who use FX pedals.
