A RockStar’s Cell Phone

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Back to paying $60/mt for phone access..
yes, I’m a rock star.. rock stars get lots of cell phone calls, and I’m also a geek, so that means that I send probably about 2000 text messages each month..

Before I left for the UK, i switched my cellphone plan to the most basic one possible, since I wouldn’t be using it, and since I’m on a contract, i cant cancel it.

Heres the setup i’ve got going now:
Urban package
Voice mail w/caller ID
unlimited text messages

Yeahhh, I’m livin’ the good life. (no)

Weekend AWAY

Monday, September 4th, 2006

I had the chance this weekend to head home to Windsor this weekend to go see some family, friends, and relax a little bit (not so much).

Expect a few updates this week (hopefully more than last week).

Birds of Wales announce homecoming show/party/dinner

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

We’re putting on an evening of music, food, and fun times at a place called Mitzi’s Sister on Queen St next Friday the 8th of September. It should be a pretty good gig. You pay what you can to get in, buy yourself some food and drinks (its a dinner party of sorts), and be entertained by Birds of Wales, and also a set by Morgan Ross.

Come on out! Yeah!

Cool map of Starbucks & McDonalds taking over the world

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

I found this interesting image on Digg:
This pair of maps show the global presence of Starbucks coffee shops and McDonald’s restaurants. When examined graphically, both companies act as global hubs that connect some of the world’s poorest, most remote countries with some of the wealthiest. Very cool yet freaky at the same time!
