Diary of a RockStar

We all know what effect Myspace has had on the internet, and even things of the unplugged nature; Creating networks of friends, meeting people, promotion… and the list goes on..

I’m a frequent Last•fm user.. I visit the site almost daily to keep track of music that i’ve been listening to, my weekly picks, most played, etc etc… They’ve recently done a redesign which I quite like. I’m really thinking that this could possibly be the next Myspace.. They’ve got everything Myspace has, photos, friends, journal, music tracks, you can add friends, and learn about music that you would have never thought of.

Anyway, check it out, its definitely a sweet site, and if you create an account for yourself, and load the plugin onto your media player that lets you track your plays, it really becomes something that can be a lot of fun.

And looking quite spiffy I might add. I’m pretty happy of this version of Diaryofarockstar.com. I’m using a lot of really cool plugins, tools, javascripts, etc on it, that i’m quite excited about… Flickr Integration, Gravatars, Moo.fx java effects, it works nicely on all browsers and yup, i’m a happy boy. I’m going to put a list of the plugins used on the About page, so check that out of you so dare….

Also spend some time and click on those titles on the sidebar, theres some neat stuff in there.

Well this is my first entry into the tour diary.. Its going to be short and sweet, mainly because i’m not on tour yet.

I’ve still got a bunch of things to do before we leave though…
Still gotta buy our tickets :S
Still gotta get a backpack (maybe 2)
Still gotta get an adapter for my laptop power supply
Still gotta save some money for the trip.

One thing is for sure, Im pretty excited about the trip.

Yep, it happened again… Sometime last night, my hosting company was doing some kind of upgrade to the server that is hosting my 4 sites, and poof, bang, there they go. Some kind of corruption.. Who knows how many emails I missed, who knows how much traffic I didn’t get.. but fuck, is it ever frustrating.

I appreciate the work they put into getting the system online again, and restoring from a backup (which seemed to take forever). It doesn’t seem like i’ve lost any data, or anything, which is a very good thing… If I lost everything again, i’d probably go ape-shit and change hosting companies pretty quickly.

In other news, i’m well into development of a new theme for this site.. Its going to feature a blog and a tour diary all on one page.. its using a really nifty Moo.Fx javascript to rotate between the two from a click of a button. You should be seeing it up here soon.. maybe within a week..

I’ve officially dropped ICQ… 140518322, its been nice knowing you.. But I probably wont be using you any-longer..

Seriously guys, this is a huge deal.. 140518322 has been my ICQ number for probably close to 10 years now.. Jesus christ, its been a long time… But now, i’m a full time MSN user, and for the odd, Video/Audio chat, i’ll use Skype (yes im using the Mac beta version of Skype that has Video, that is supposedly able to destroy your computer!!!)
