I’ve been scouring the city the last few weeks for a Fender Telecaster. We’ve all made a conscious decision in the band that we need to upgrade our gear. It not only looks better on stage, but shows a more professional appearance. I’ve recently been upgrading my gear, becuase not too long ago I was playing all shit. In the last few months i’ve gotten my first real tube amp: MesaBoogie Nomad 55 2×12 combo, Godin xtSA, and a Takamine Semi acoustic.
But now, I’ve got my eyes set on a Fender American Deluxe Telecaster in Aged Cherry Burst, in either a rosewood or maple neck (it doesn’t really matter to me). This will be a big step for me. Up until this time, i’ve been hard core Gibson. HARD core. Just about as hard core as I am about Canon and Nikon (NIKON SUCKS!). The main reason is that a Tele just fits the music i’m playing now.. Gibsons should be reserved for rock/hard rock guitar players, or people like Slash. The only other guitar I would seriously consider is a PRS. But its not worth spending 4000 on a guitar, because thats the one i’m going to want to buy.
