Iron and Wine

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Since the first time I heard their music, Probably through a friend (YES BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I DID HEAR ABOUT THEM BEFORE GARDEN STATE) I’ve been in love with this band. So soothing, so peaceful. just great. They’re amazing, and I never thought that they would travel outside of the US to Canada for me to see them. BUT I GOT TICKETS, Dec 9th at the Docks (not the best venue for this kind of music). It should be grand, Nay, it WILL BE GRAND!

Busiest week EVER

Sunday, October 2nd, 2005

This past week has probably been the busiest week i’ve ever had in my life outside of school. Until about Saturday morning, i didn’t do anything from the previous thursday morning. From the time I left for work last thursday, till 8 days later, i was doing something. It was crazy. Concerts, jamming with the new band, seeing friends in Waterloo. I’m exhausted but somehow i’m satisfied.
Lots of good and bad things happened this week, one of the main things is that i’m now playing in a band called Birds of Wales. Thats probably the most exciting thing to come of my week of extreme business.
Perhaps that I also saw Interpol play at the Kool Haus. that was pretty cool. I have to say though that the Bloc Party show was better than Interpol.

Unexpectedness?

After almost completely canceling my trip to Waterloo/Guelph this weekend, at the last minute I decided to just go for one night just for the hell of it.
My boss asked me to come in on the weekend to work on a site for a project that needs to be launched this week so being the role model employee that I am (cough…) I said yes. So basically that cancelled my plans for the weekend. Until about an hour before I finished working on friday night when I decided that I would just go and wing it. I didn’t even know where I was going to sleep, or where I was going or how I was going to get there.
So I got to guelph and luckily the bus station was in a part of town I recognized quite well, and I was able to hop on the city bus to a friend’s house whom was supposto be there (Bryn), but he wasn’t.
Long story short. I ended up at the party that I was going for in the first place. It was grand, we had drinks, talked, someone puked in one of the hostess’s beds (yuck), I met a girl who told me her name was Pricess Portia (I told her my name was Ferarri). It was good times.

Thanks Kimmy for letting me sleep on your couch!
